Fronted by the eccentric and unpredictable Adam “Doseone” Drucker, Oakland, Calif., sixpiece Subtle is treading buzz with third LP ExitingARM (Lex), a platter of electronica, hip-hop, and hints of TV on the Radio. Subtle: Live, expect a quintet, as keyboardist Dax Pierson, who sustained a paralyzing injury in 2005, no longer tours with the group.
