The cast of Stool Pigeon reads like a Who’s Who list of Austin Improv. Award-winning performers, sketch comedy writers, theater managers, festival producers and touring improvisers come together once a week to twist the stories of a local celebrity guest into completely improvised scenes. This week’s special guest is Lars Nilsen, the host of WeirdWednesdays at the Drafthouse and all-around movie nerd.

At this point, even Ryan Adams seems confused by his identity—which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. He’s certainly earned a good amount of the lambasting he’s been subjected to in recent years, but his manic fits and style swerves make him a Rock Star in the unhinged mold of old. After releasing three albums (one of them a double) in 11 months, Adams was relatively quiet in 2006, sticking to producing for acts like Willie Nelson and uploading new songs to his website. He’s back to the grind now, though, out behind the new Easy Tiger.
