Ray LaMontagne's blue-collar work ethic has brought him a long way from Lewistown, Maine, where he woke up one morning to Stephen Stills playing on the radio and decided - in that moment - that he was going to be a singer-songwriter. With a relevance to the working man of America that makes him all that more inspiring in these troubled times of war and economic uncertainty, LaMontagne's latest album, "Gossip in The Grain," promises to be a work of honesty, unity, and craftsmanship unheard since the last time a hardworking man began to talk of the times a-changin.
