An Evening with Erin Ivey
On Saturday Erin Ivey will sing her modern-classic songs at the Rollins. Austin’s urban folk sweetheart was honored in 2007 as one of the city's Top Unsigned Artists by the Recording Conservatory of Austin. Lauded by Internet maven Perez Hilton in April as “making sweet folk pop… so endearing and warm you want to go back for seconds,” Ivey is celebrating the release of her third CD, “Sweet Little EP”. With a voice dipped in opera and country-western, one Oregon music journalist raved, "I would kill for a purr like that."
