Devin the Dude has been a consistent force in Houston hip-hop since 1994,
making a successful career mostly by rapping about women, weed, and alcohol
with humor and originality. Devin had been dubbed “favorite rapper’s
favorite rapper” due to his underground following, but his ballads of
beer and blunts on last year’s Waitin’ to Inhale provided some significant
commercial success & nominations by critics as one of the best albums of the year.
