The influential, Grammy winning Philadelphia-based hip hop group The Roots are coming back to Austin for a big show. Famed for their heavily jazzy sound and awesome live instrumentation, The Roots' live sets are frequently hailed as the best in the hip-hop genre. The band is wrapping up a busy year that’s seen them do Rock the Bells and VH1’s Hip Hop Honors Tour, and will be making a stop at the Backyard on Sunday after two nights of Widespread Panic.
