What once started with small performances at Plush has quickly become the metamorphism of Chris Rose into a one-man mash-up heaven know as Car Stereo Wars.

Since releasing his debut album, “The Bandit,” on his start-up label Artifact Workshop, Rose’s work has been praised by editors at Austinist, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, and Austin-American Statesman. Rose also is responsible for the mash-up preview of ACL’s 2008 line up, released on their website as a teaser prior to the official line-up announcement (listen here). Not bad for a guy that’s only been DJing for 2-3 years.

Car Stereo Wars will be gearing up for a double smack-down of sick mash-ups during a two night ACL afterparty feature at Emo’s Lounge on September 26th and 27th.  Click here to pick your date.

Emo’s Lounge is located at 603 Red River in downtown Austin. Tickets are $8 pre-sale, $10 at the door. Doors open at 10:00pm.
