Chicago hip-hop star Common was last seen in Austin was at the City Limits festival in 2007. He's back on Thursday at Stubb's, likely debuting cuts from his new album Universal Mind Control, produced by The Neptunes. Common's previous album, which was primarily produced by Kanye West, won a Grammy Award. Free Sol are an up-and-coming group from Memphis that move freely between hip-hop, soul, rock, R&B, jazz, and funk.
