Car Stereo (Wars) is the music project of Austin's Christopher Rose. Often compared to Girl Talk or Hollertronix, Car Stereo (Wars) blends snippets of songs in and out with popular and homemade beats, riffs and verses in a fun, danceable and often humorous fashion. Rose often adds in groups of themed background dancers, guest musicians, live instrumentation, video projections and other surprises.

The Austin Chronicle called him "Austin's one-man Big Bang, building up and breaking down multi-verses with ease." Earlier this year the Austin City Limits Music Festival commissioned Rose to create a mash-up of 29 different artists in order to announce their initial schedule, which quickly became a blog favorite. On his debut album, The Bandit, the alternative music news source Absolute Punk said it "proves an exciting adventure in a developing and thriving genre. Car Stereo (Wars) churns out eleven thrilling songs that run together masterfully to create a tight party-starting collection."
