From Springsteen-esque rocker to lesbian icon to cancer survivor, Melissa Etheridge has worn a lot of cultural hats. Through it all, she’s remained an extremely consistent songwriter. Her most recent album, “The Awakening,” is one of her most directly autobiographical, touching on everything from her early career to her renewed interest in God, which is one reason this show is called the “Revival Tour.”
