Papa Grows Funk are a group of some of the funkiest musicians that call New Orleans home, whose talent has landed them gigs all over the world Regulars of the New Orleans nightlife, Papa Grows Funk is five great individual musicians combined into one great band. Talented keyboardist John "Papa" Gros is joined by guitarist June Yamagishi, referred to as the father of funk music in Japan. Along with saxophonist Jason Mingledorff, alternating bassists Marc Pero and drummer Jeffrey "Jellybean" Alexander, they have released 3 albums and perform over 200 shows annually.
