Austin's been good to singer songwriter David Ford this year. Although he'd already garnered a fat stack of press raves for his debut solo album back home in England, it was Ford's showcase at South by Southwest in March that secured him an American major-label deal with Columbia Records. But I Sincerely Apologize For All the Trouble I've Caused is still a D.I.Y. effort in the truest sense: Ford recorded the record -- his first since heading out on his own following the breakup of his first band, Easyworld -- at home on his Mac, playing almost all the instruments himself. Not for nothing did England's Uncut deem Ford one to watch, while the Manchester Evening News went so far as to rank him alongside the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and early Tom Waits.
