austinnightsbrassband is in 8 crews
We are Austin's first and only New Orleans style brass band. The group's founders Jimmie Dreams (Tribe 13, Diasporic, Frenchmen St. All-Stars, Flaming Arrows, Sick's Pack) and Rickey Caesar (Tribe 13, Caesar Bro's Funk Box, Wild Tchoupitoulas, Black Seminoles, Flaming Arrows) are in cahouts with Ponder East (Funk Shui), Oliver Steck (Bob Schneider, Aunt Ruby's Sweet Jazz Babies), Geno Gottschall (GottMusic.com), Marcus Cardwell (Gnappy, Flyjack), Mike Elam (Funk Shui, Flyjack), Ari Dvorin, Ulrican Williams, Randy Zimmerman, John Doyle, Stan Smith, Marcus, Eric, Big Chief Kevin, Big Chief Doucette, and whoever else is up for the downstroke. The group has been making some collaborative gumbo that has a flavor all to itself.
